Glam Ibiza party

Oh my god. Like, where does the time get too? You’d think that with another birthday on the cards Ms W would be rushing to the nearest Botox clinic to sort out those pesky crows feet. Ha-ha-ha. Of course NOT.

Ms W has consulted her mirror, mirror on the wall and been duly informed she is fairest of them all. Which is a good thing (broken mirrors are bad luck, but I’d have smacked it anyway, tee-hee!) as she has a gathering of her nearest and dearest to attend in honour of MY SPECIAL DAY. Do you ever just wonder how someone as ragingly cool and popular as Ms W ever manages to whittle her birthday invite list down to a number that can reasonably fit in a Super Chic Beach Bar? I do too!

Luckily I’m a Material Girl (living in a Material World, dontcha know) and I discovered a simple solution to my guest list dilemma: anyone with a name I can reasonably capitalise in order to make myself look cooler and more popular (ie, Famous DJs, Bigtime Promoters, Sexy White-ette Pals or Buff Stud Muffins) is a “yes” as is anyone who might bring Bulgari (or Gucci, Pucci, Louis Vuitton or Iceberg -- it's rude to be too fussy).

By carefully applying this formula Ms W found herself sipping champagne and dining on seasonal delicacies with a couple of dozen of her CLOSEST FRIENDS. That’s right. The people who really, really love me. All of whom proved it by providing me with a big pile of gorgeous pressies to unwrap. All except the Kind-Of Boyfriend. Who, despite the unrelenting stream of text messages saying how much he just ADORES me (newsflash darling, get in the queue) managed to turn up to the party Empty Handed.

Sure, he drove me home later and made sure I returned to my princess’ palace in time to watch the sunrise but really, does he think playing taxi driver is going to make up for NO BLING?! Honey, I don’t know how you play it in
Spain, but a girl like me just doesn’t settle for that. Oh, and while you’re at it, Latin-types, why don’t you sort out the birthday cake conundrum? I don’t want any funny-named cakes (what’s flan really made of any way?!) I just want some yummy, scrummy, tasty icing-loaded cake like you get back home. Honestly… you just can’t get the staff these days.

Anyway, I hate to complain on my birthday (good thing my birthday was yesterday. Hee hee) so let’s talk about the NICE STUFF. Like all my super-cool presents and how I’m looking younger and finer every day! (JK!)

The Lowdown

The Good: Loot!

The Bad: I’ve been here over three decades, why is the world not yet revolving around me?

The Gossip: If and when the Kind Of Boyfriend gets his gift-shit together I’ll let you know. Don’t hold your breath…

Ms W presents... El Ayoun 10th Birthday

Oh. My. God. The just most unmissable party of the season so far, like, totally! The VVIP, invite-only, no expense spared soiree celebrating San Raf's hotter-than-a-day-in-the-desert Moroccan restaurant-cum-super-swanky hangout El Ayoun.

The theme? OverChic. Darling. As if Ms W is ever, ever UNDER chic? Puh-leese! There is just NO CHANCE. I'm working a LBD with the utmost fabulousness but before I even get through the door to Aladdin's magic cave I spot a... camel?! An actual breathing one. No, Ms W doesn't do camel fur on her fabulous outfits so we give Mr (or Ms) Camel a wide berth and step into the enchanted kingdom.

And how? I have never seen so many AMAZING people in my entire life. Ms W just doesn't know where to look with all the glamour on show. It's heels up and necklines down, and that's just the boys. Hee hee! Everyone is looking OverChic to the MAX and has made a REAL EFFORT. The theme is black white and gold and can I just say WHAT A BRILLIANT IDEA? The guys are looking just too, too hot in white suits showing off their sexy tans and the gals are tres increible in dinky little black outfits and lots of bling. (And can I just say, I am ALL FOR getting a little help with what god gave you?! The lovelies here are pumped and plumped in ALL THE RIGHT PLACES if you know what I mean and the look gorge!!)

Ms W sashays straight to the free bar (I'll have a glass of bubbly and the smokin' barboy on the left please, tee hee) where she immediately spots some of the islands biggest FACES, all deep in chit chat. Tonight may look like it's ALL ABOUT FUN but this is where deals get done too and don't you forget it.

As well as MOVERS AND SHAKERS there is all kinds of eye candy. Including some scrummy dancers... Ms W considers them well worth a thousand and one nights ;-)

Among the VVIPs lounging on white chairs and supping from giant bottles of rose wine Ms W spots techno DJ Luciano. Looking a little bit dull, it has to be said. I mean, jeans?! Seriously. Ms W is much, much more impressed when the uber-super-cool Guettas rock up. Cathy looks FIERCE in a skin-tight black dress and David is slick in all black. And they hold hands the whole night. Awwwwwwwwwww.

No time to linger though. Ms W has dates to keep and miles to go before she sleeps so it's saludos to our host Charles and Ms W flits into the night... the next party is calling darling!

Ms W presents... Creme de la Cream

Ms W loves Cream... it always rises to the top. Just like yours truly! Opening night and the VIP invite is in so it's off to Amnesia to sample the latest dairy delights from this long running night.

Now, Ms W has certain standards to be maintained. And one thing that just won't do is queues. We come, we see, we skip to the front, thanks to a little help from our friends on the door (because, darling, EVERYWHERE WE GO we have friends on the door).

Inside it's straight through the lumpen masses to the VIP area. We have a little chat with Annie Mac (she's lost weight and looks GREAT!!! and super-hair too! The girl knows how to rock curls) before we're whisked upstairs by the Cream team for a personal tour, a splash of vodka and an invitation into the DJ box.

Sasha looks a bit dour. Cheer up love. It might never happen! But luckily there's a bucket of ice and a bottle of vodka to keep Ms W's spirits high in the face of adversity. Then someone asks us, "where do I know you from." Turns out he's Paul Van Dyk's tour manager. And while we just can't blame him for trying Ms W only does the A-list honey (heehee) so it is *sayonara* sweetheart, and we scoot off with our vodka crans. There's only so much a girl can take...

Highlights: Backstage passes? But of course

Lowlights: Too crowded! Don't tred on these shoes kiddies, you have no idea how much they cost!

Gossip: Either Mrs Sasha is a very pretty young blonde or Mr Sasha is being extra friendly to his fans. yaknowwhaddimean?

Ms W presents....

Who needs a little black book bursting with contacts when you're as stone-cold fabulous as Ms W? She doesn't wait for invites... she brings the party with her wherever she goes. And with a coterie of confidants from every letter-list in the alphabet (A to Z baby, we're all cool!) she has the beating heart of the island clenched in one damp fist and a bottle of cava gripped in the other. So if you want to know what's really happening. Who's hot, cool and about to boil over, stay tuned for all the adventures of Ms W presents...

A Night On The Town:

So, like, it's my fabulous friend's birthday and not just any old party will do. Oh no. We're talking this has to be THE MAX. Like him! Tee hee.

For starters: what to wear? I have a lot of clothes. Some of them are waaay nice. But obviously I can't throw on ANY OLD THING for an important occasion like this so I delve into the dulcet depths of my drawers to dig out the most divine dress ever. Totally prepped and glammed to the nines we pop the cork on a bottle of super-fine champagne (haha! only JOKING. Cava for us lovelies... when in Espanya. Anyway champagne is tres passe, no?)and drink a toast to the adventures ahead.

With the gorgeous birthday boy and his super-funny best friend we roll into town like the three amigos and throw-down at the nearest saloon. Luckily the locals are friendly and before we know it we're tipping back a tasty shot of herbas to say feliz cumplanos, or whatever it is.

Next we make our way to an uber-exclusive eaterie in the heart of Ibiza Town. I would totally tell you where it was but then it wouldn't be OUR LITTLE SECRET would it? There is roasted meat and toasted veg and whatever else but Ms W is far too giddy to bother with food (ordinary mortals may eat, I feast on the soul of the party!) But the red vino sinks nicely and before long Ms W is anxious to get them doggies moving and head on to the next destination.

After all, what's the point in staying in one place where there are SO MANY fabulous party spots to behold? The three amigos head for the old town where a succession of shots in a succesion of bars lends a nice fuzzy glow to the evening. In fact, if anyone knows how I got home, or what happened to that last 60€ can you just let me know? I mean, it's hard work being this amazing. I can't be expected to remember everything!

Highlight: Sinking a tequila at sunset.

Lowlight: Having to pay... don't they know who I am?

The gossip: Next time, I'm going to take a man to carry my money for me. Cuter and more reliable than a wallet.
